What is AFJROTC AZ - 061?
AFJROTC AZ - 061 is a Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Agua Fria Union High School. We are an elective course that teaches students aerospace science, character development, leadership, discipline and physical fitness. Our mission is to develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community.

Q: Do I have to pay for the AFJROTC uniform?
A: No, the AFJROTC uniform is provided to you free of charge. Unless if the uniform is damaged or lost you will have to pay for a replacement. When you are finished with the course you will have to return uniform items.
Q: When do I wear the AFJROTC uniform?
A: You will be required to wear the AFJROTC uniform once a week on Wednesday.
Q: What happens if I miss uniform day?
A: If you miss uniform day, you will be required to make up the day by wearing the uniform on Thursday.
Q: Do I have to join the military after taking this course?
A: No. While the AFJROTC program provides valuable training and discipline, it is not a requirement to join the military after completing the course.
Q: What scholarships are available when taking this course?
A: There are several scholarships available to AFJROTC cadets, including the Air Force ROTC scholarship program and the Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship program.

75% of cadets will receive a B or higher on uniform inspection.

90% of cadets will pass the PT assessment.
School

75% of cadets will receive a 2.8 GPA or higher.

Visit 4 middle schools in the area and hold recruiting meetings for each school (Michael Anderson, Avondale Middle School, Wigwam, Imagine).
Community

On average every cadet will have 15 community service hours or more.

The AFJROTC program as a whole will have a total of 1,500 community service hours.
